Our very good friend Steven Aleck filmed and edited our latest digital short – Coca-Cola. Mad Props dude. In case you’re wondering, the next short is in the works.

Long time no blog

August 24, 2110

We just had our 266 show today & we killed it. As always the “Balloon” sketch successfully made 2 audience members vomit, and Ronnie’s “Video didn’t kill the radio star” bit failed as usual. But all in all it was a quality show. Our bowling skills surprisingly have not improved since a century ago.

One train in the pink…

February 27th, 2010

The cast of Honorary Degree would like to congratulate and welcome all of the groups who will be performing at the 1st Annual Pink Line Comedy Festival this March! We look forward to seeing you all for the big meeting this coming Tuesday!

Also, I just wanted to remind all of those who helped make me chug a whole bottle of maple syrup after eating more than 2,500 calories worth of food on our Fat Tuesday show, I truly hate syrup now but thanks for supporting us.

Brian and Keith Investigate the Raffle

January 27th, 2010

HEYO! Keith here.  We had a great show tonight and I would like to thank all of those for coming to watch us play like children.  So let’s get down to the nitty gritty.  I’ll let Brian start us off.  BRIAN!

Hey, guys. This is Brian. We had a great show tonight, and I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who came out to support Honorary Degree. It was kind of a loose, off-the-cuff show, and it was great to see everyone in the cast having so much fun together (probably because our director (the illustrious Stacey Norgren) promised to stop hitting us when we make mistakes onstage). Additionally, we raffled off a Bud Light Cooler after the show…a cooler that was suspiciously won by Alison Tafel, a cast member of Honorary Degree. Sounds a little fishy, wouldn’t you say, Keith?

Yes Brian,  it didn’t help that I was the one holding up the cooler, making it look like I was in cahoots with her.  But I’m okay with it considering I live with her, and will (somehow) be implementing it with my P90X routine.  Finally, I’m starting to clean off the make up I’ve been using to conceal my black eyes.  I heal slowly.

I should probably mention that our website continues to grow and grow every day.  I’d like to give out a shout out to Joe, our warlock website overlord. Hey Joe. So keep coming back and you might find something new!  Also keep an eye out for an update about our shirts!  Back to you, Brian!

Yeah, about the raffle. I feel like I need to mention the injustice of the raffle one more time. I mean, the tension, the uproar in the audience was palpable when the raffle was won by a cast member. IT WAS WRONG. I saw the crowd reach into their bags for pitchforks and torches; they were dangerously close to upgrading themselves from “audience” to “angry mob.” I could see that it was obviously up to me to restore balance to the bar, so I did what I had to do.

I pooped in Alison’s new cooler. Justice restored.

Be sure to come out to next week’s show! In honor of the Super Bowl, we’ll be featuring all-new football-themed sketches! And we’ll be givin’ out free beers! See you there!

Brian and Keith Welcome you to the Honorary Degree Blog

January 19th, 2010

Hi, it’s Keith and I’d like to thank everyone who came out to our Sketchfest show last night.

And, hi there…it’s me, Brian. I’m here too. It’s a little rude that Keith didn’t introduce me at the top (seeing as how we both agreed to write this together), but I would also like to thank everyone who took the took the time to come check us out at Sketchfest. Also, I’d like to remind you that Keith didn’t introduce me at the beginning. Keith, what do you have to say for yourself?

Hey everyone, it’s Keith again.  I just want to reiterate how thankful I am to all of those who came out last night to see us at Sketchfest.  Also, Brian should know that I don’t have the proper social skills to introduce people on an internet blog.  He could have moved on and talked about our awesome set.  Now I just want to go to bed.

Okay guys, calm down. Everybody out of the pool. We just started, and I’ve already made Keith want to go to bed. Let’s back it up a little bit…Keith, I apologize. Let me extend an internet olive branch to you by promising all of our fans and new comers that tomorrow nights show (01/19/10) will be a great one!

Brian, I accept your olive branch and I look forward to our first new show of 2010.
